First of all, when wearing jewelry it is important not to spray perfume, alcohol or derivatives of these directly on it.
Above all, before starting, you must make sure that any gems or other metals that may be used will not be damaged by doing so.
In the case of gold-plated jewelry, it is recommended not to get it wet so that the color of the gold does not fade.
It is advisable to store jewelry in a cloth bag or jewelry box.
Cleaning them is simple, with a little soap and warm water, rubbing them with a small brush, you will get them to shine again.
Another method, but this one only for silver jewelry, is to take a damp cloth, sprinkle baking soda on it, and let the jewelry sit for a while, then rinse it with water.
Once they are clean, use a soft cloth and rub them to try to shine them. This way you will avoid leaving residue or marks and above all you will make them shine even more.

The speed at which gold plating fades depends on many factors such as the use of chemicals on the skin, the level of body sweating or even the pH level of each person's skin. For these reasons, it is advisable to know that gold-plated jewelry requires more care or, if your experience tells you that it does not last, choose silver jewelry.
Tips for storing your jewelry:
Once we have our jewelry sparkling, one of our fears is that it will darken when we store it, something that can happen if it is stored for a long time.
Store your jewelry in a cool, dry place. If it is also airtight, you will avoid oxidation due to contact with oxygen.
Avoid contact of your jewelry with chlorine, sweat, perfume or sea salt.
Don't leave your jewelry stacked together as they can scratch each other. Also, be careful where you store it, as wood contains acids.
It is also advisable to keep chains, both necklaces and bracelets, closed to prevent knots from forming or getting tangled with other jewelry.
Rings with stones or figures tend to get damaged when they are put together with other rings. The best way to keep them in perfect condition is to place them in a special ring box, or as we have already mentioned, in their original box.
Earring backs are like keys - they are never where you left them! To avoid this, never leave earrings loose. Also, a screw that doesn't fit can cause you to lose your earring.
The best option is to store them individually in their boxes.
